Anatomy of rhizomorphs
Rhizomorphs can possess hyphae of completely different diameter categories (vessel-like or thickened hyphae are not to be considered); there is almost no transition between the two categories; the thin hyphae may be scarcely ramified, mostly loosely arranged, may be thick-walled, and can have clamps, or thyy can be irregularly multiply-branched.
