In one case, by amyloidity reaction, a primordium of a Chroogomphus species growing on rhizomorphs of a Rhizopogon could be detected (A, B). The very same fungus formed amyloid hyphae in the rhizomorphs (C) and amyloid haustoria (D) within the ectomycorrhiza as well.
