  Mycorrhizal ends chalky-white with a slight bluish or violet tint, very tips and older parts brownish with a light tinge of white; rhizomorphs chalky-white with a tinge of blue or violet; autofluorescence of mantle in section with UV-filter slightly yellow-orange and inner part slightly bluish, with blue-filter slightly yellowish green and outer parts with slight tinge of ochre, with green-filter very weakly reddish; mantle in brillant-cresyl-blue with blue cell walls and after treatment with water violet-blue, in cotton-blue plasmatically slightly blue, cell walls very weakly bluish; nuclei lying very close together.
